More active programme & exercise therapy
Discover the joy of exercise and try something new: from Aroha to Yoga
More motivation for mobility and exercise: With increasing age our coordination ability and mobility deteriorate. The most common excuse is our job. The fact is we take much too little exercise.
With us you can regain your motivation to exercise! Under professional guidance you can find pleasure in the feel of your body and becoming one with nature.
Individual exercise training
You will receive individual training from us,
customised to your current level of performance and state of health. Your
personal trainer will be there to support you.
Group exercise training: Start the day the active way
We welcome the morning with gentle exercises in
the open air or in the gymnastics room. The cardiovascular system is activated
and the joints are mobilized.
Aroha
Aroha is an
uncomplicated form of whole body training. It combines elements of the Haka
(war dance of the Maori people in New Zealand), Kung Fu (kicking and striking
movements) and Tai Chi (round, flowing movements).
Water gymnastics
Water gymnastics are a form of training which is
particularly gentle on the joints, and is offered in our indoor swimming pool.
The strength and condition exercises which are practised using the resistance
of the water strengthen the muscles and the cardiovascular system.
Energy flow exercises
We boost the energy flow – with gently guided,
flowing movements. This increases physical and mental well-being.
Stretching
Focussed stretching of the muscles through
special exercises improves mobility and suppleness and helps with regeneration.
Jacobson
Progressive muscle relaxation following the
Jacobson method is a relaxation technique. It is based on the fact that a
muscle can relax better after being deliberately tensed.
Nordic Walking
Right next to the Health Centre F.X. MAYR &
more is the start of an especially charming Nordic Walking trail through the
wonderful nature of Carinthia. With the right Nordic Walking technique you
exercise around 85% of all your muscles. This strengthens not only the leg
muscles, but also those of the shoulders and arms, and ensures more calories
are burned up with only low strain on the joints.
Spinal Gymnastics
During spinal gymnastics we concentrate on
functional exercises to stretch, strengthen and mobilise the whole of the
spine.
SSE (Stretch-Strengthen-Exercise)
We will show you functional exercises to
stretch, strengthen and exercise the entire body.
Pilates
Pilates is a form of
muscle function training, which above all brings about an improvement in the
stability of the trunk and the posture. It also improves coordination and has a
compensating effect on muscle imbalances.
Chi Gong
Chi Gong originally
comes from China. With healthful movements we regulate the metabolism,
strengthen the immune system and encourage self-healing powers by harmonising
the life energy.
Tai Chi
Flowing movements on
the principles of yin and yang help to reduce stress and tension. They increase
the permeability of the energy meridians, harmonise the breathing and
metabolism, and ensure physical and mental well-being.
Yoga
Body, soul and mind
are brought into harmony through gentle breathing, stretching and relaxation
exercises.
Mind Management & Mental
Training
A course of treatment
always also means emotional development. The MAYR Treatment is not only a
physical cleansing process, but also a mental and spiritual process. If you are
prepared to engage with it, totally new opportunities will open up for you. But
there are a few challenges to be overcome along the way. Emotional reactions to
the treatment can occur, such as dreams, mood swings, questions as to the
meaning of it, and much more. Mind Management & Mental Training will help
you to stay on the right track during your course of treatment so that you
emerge from the situation strengthened.
