The eventful history of your treatment hotel
Stay in the house where the Royal Family used to spend their Easter holidays
Royal roots: 1936 was the year our Golf Hotel at Lake Wörthersee was built. The attractive timber-framed building originally served as a holiday residence for the British Royal Family. But the beauty of Lake Wörthersee and the Carinthian landscape didn’t only cast its spell over the Royals. Thus the charming house was converted into a hotel and over many decades received prominent guests from many countries. In the mid-1970s the building was renovated and took on a new philosophy and role.
Centre and cradle of the
modern F.X. MAYR medicine
On 1 August 1976, the Health Centre F.X. MAYR
& more® Golf Hotel at Lake Wörthersee opened its doors as the first centre
in the world for residential F.X. MAYR Treatment. The founders were probably
the best-known student of MAYR, Dr. med. Erich Rauch, and the German
entrepreneur Consul General Rolf Deyhle. Dr. Rauch exercised the medical
direction of the establishment for many years and it was here that he developed
MAYR’s concepts further. Numerous well-known MAYR doctors have also enjoyed
their training here over the last 30 years.
Your
Health Centre F.X. MAYR & more® – Golf Hotel at Lake Wörthersee today
Today our establishment is the first address in
the world where residential MAYR medicine is concerned. Not only are the
exceptional treatment concepts developed here, but the building is growing too
along with its role. It is constantly being renovated and modernised with great
care and thought, so that the charm and the wonderful atmosphere of the place
are maintained for our guests to enjoy. We look with pride on the numerous awards
we have received
for our work, especially over the last ten years.
In August 2007, Consul General Rolf Deyhle received the Grand Medal of Honour of the Province of Carinthia for his pioneering services.
